Summer Calendar

The Lighthouse Summer calendar is out (http://www.hopecenter.cc/images/library/12_summer_calendar.jpg)! Please take a moment to familiarize yourself and update your main calendar with important dates! Including:

• o   May 24^th will be the end of small groups at Hope Center on Thursdays. Starting June 7^th we will be meeting at Hidden Lakes Park from 7-8:30pm.
• o   Volunteer at Day Camp the week of June 25-29^th. Afterwards, we doing various activities throughout the week.

Class for Parents and Teens!

Lifeskills "Tools for the Job" class - What was your first job? What was the story behind it?
This Sunday April 22nd we are beginning a 4-week 2nd service class in the admin building that is going to cover topics like finances, budgeting, and topics around future planning. This class will be taught by Scott Walker, teacher of the Dave Ramsay Financial Peace class, and Terry Wassman, teacher for the Job Search Ministry and more. 
The four week's topics with be:

1. How to Financially Plan for What’s Next 
2. How to Look Good on an Application
3. How to Look Good in an Interview
4. How to Financially Plan for the Future

We are prayerful that this class will not only give great life skills to students, but create conversations in your household on these important life decisions. Please mark your calendars to attend all four classes!

What's happening on Thursdays? Guy/Girl Talk and more!

At Lighthouse we get together every week on Thursdays to create Christ-centered community. Each week we spend time hanging out together, playing games to get to know everyone, getting into God's Word, connecting with Christ-centered friends and mentors. I pray that this is something valuable to your student's spiritual journey!


Coming up on Thursday nights:

• April 12th *THIS THURSDAY* - No small groups for Spring Break
• April 19th - Journey into Prayer night. The young adult ministry has taken over the Generation's wing with prayer stations. We will briefly meet in the beginning and then go in and freely worship and spend time with God as we feel lead.
• April 26th - Serve Thursday and Fudd's. Each small group has committed to a local service project (check in with your student's small group leader for details) and afterwards we will all meet at Fudd's in Concord.
• May 3rd - Guy/Girl Talk introduction night. More information will be posted later about this small group series and how you can follow up with your student about the discussion.
• May 10th - Guy/Girl Talk.

Looking forward to seeing your student on Thursday night and hope the Pancake Breakfast ticket sales have been going well. Don't forget to remind your student to bring any pre-sale funds to Lighthouse Thursday night so we can start tracking their progress!
